Personal Data Processing Policy

This Personal Data Processing Policy defines the procedure for processing and protecting personal data of users of the Science Marketing Team website located at sm-team.ru.
This English version is provided for convenience and informational purposes. The Russian version of this document is the legally binding version.
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Policy has been developed in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ dated July 27, 2006 “On Personal Data” and other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation in the field of personal data.

1.3. This Policy applies to all information that the Operator may receive about users of the sm-team.ru website.
1.4. Use of the website means that the user has read this Policy. Before submitting the contact form, the user gives separate consent to the processing of personal data.
2. Key Terms
2.1. Personal data means any information relating directly or indirectly to an identified or identifiable individual.
2.2. Personal data processing means any action or set of actions performed with personal data, including collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification, use, transfer, depersonalization, blocking, deletion, and destruction of personal data.

3.1. The Operator may process the following personal data of users:

3.2. The Operator does not intentionally collect special categories of personal data concerning racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, health status, intimate life, or biometric personal data.
3.3. The user should not submit information through the website forms that is unrelated to the purpose of the request.
4. Purposes of Personal Data Processing
4.1. The Operator processes users’ personal data for the following purposes:
- receiving and processing requests from the website;
- contacting the user by phone, email, Telegram, or other communication channels specified by the user;
- conducting a consultation;
- preparing a commercial proposal;
- discussing Science Marketing Team services;
- providing information about the Operator’s services, projects, products, and offers;
- sending informational, advertising, and marketing messages if the user has given consent;
- website analytics;
- improving the quality of the website, content, services, and user experience;
- ensuring website security;
- complying with the requirements of Russian Federation legislation.
5. Legal Grounds for Personal Data Processing
5.1. The legal grounds for personal data processing are:
- the user’s consent to personal data processing;
- the user’s consent to receive informational and advertising messages, if such consent is provided separately;
- fulfillment of the user’s request submitted through the website;
- the Operator’s legitimate interests related to processing incoming requests and ensuring website operation;

6. Procedure and Methods of Personal Data Processing
6.1. Personal data is processed both with and without the use of automation tools.
6.2. The Operator collects, records, systematizes, accumulates, stores, clarifies, uses, transfers, depersonalizes, blocks, deletes, and destroys personal data.
6.3. Users’ personal data is processed to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes specified in this Policy.
6.4. The Operator does not make decisions that create legal consequences for the user or otherwise affect the user’s rights and legitimate interests solely on the basis of automated personal data processing.
7. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties
7.1. The Operator may entrust personal data processing to third parties and services if this is necessary for website operation, request processing, analytics, communication with users, and fulfillment of the purposes specified in this Policy.
7.2. Such services may include:
- website hosting and technical support services;
- the Tilda platform and related tools;
- email services;
- analytics services, including Yandex.Metrica and Google Analytics;
- messengers, including Telegram, if requests or inquiries are transmitted through the relevant channel;
- CRM systems, if connected by the Operator;
- other services required to process requests and ensure website operation.
7.3. Third parties that receive access to personal data must ensure the confidentiality and security of personal data in accordance with applicable law and the terms of agreements with the Operator.
7.4. The Operator does not sell users’ personal data to third parties.
8. Use of Cookies and Analytics
8.1. The website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure correct website operation, analyze user behavior, improve website structure, and evaluate the effectiveness of advertising and informational materials.
8.2. The website may use analytics services, including Yandex.Metrica and Google Analytics.

9. Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Data

9.2. The Operator carries out cross-border transfer of personal data only where there are legal grounds and in compliance with the requirements of Russian Federation legislation.
9.3. Before beginning cross-border transfer of personal data, the Operator performs the actions provided by law, including submitting a notification to the authorized body if such notification is required.
10. Terms of Personal Data Processing and Storage
10.1. Users’ personal data is processed until the purposes of processing are achieved or until the user withdraws consent, unless otherwise provided by Russian Federation legislation.
10.2. Request data may be stored for the period necessary to process the inquiry, communicate with the user, prepare an offer, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of the Operator.
10.3. After the purposes of processing are achieved or consent is withdrawn, personal data is deleted or depersonalized unless otherwise provided by Russian Federation legislation.
11. Newsletters and Informational Messages
11.1. The Operator may send informational, advertising, and marketing messages to the user only if the user has given consent.
11.2. Such messages may be sent by email, phone, Telegram, WhatsApp, or other communication channels if the user has provided the relevant contact details and has expressed consent to receive such messages.
11.3. The user may unsubscribe from newsletters by sending a request to: science.mteam@gmail.com.
12. Personal Data Protection Measures
12.1. The Operator takes the necessary legal, organizational, and technical measures to protect personal data from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, provision, distribution, and other unlawful actions.
12.2. The Operator restricts access to personal data and grants it only to persons who need such access to perform work tasks and achieve the purposes of processing.
12.3. The Operator uses reasonable measures to protect the website, data transmission channels, and services used to process user inquiries.
13. User Rights
13.1. The user has the right to:
- receive information about the processing of their personal data;
- request clarification, blocking, or destruction of personal data if it is incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, unlawfully obtained, or unnecessary for the stated purpose of processing;
- withdraw consent to personal data processing;
- refuse to receive informational and advertising messages;
- send inquiries, requests, and demands to the Operator related to personal data processing;
- appeal the Operator’s actions or inaction to the authorized body or court.
14. Consent Withdrawal Procedure
14.1. The user may withdraw consent to personal data processing by sending a request to: science.mteam@gmail.com.
14.2. The request must include information that allows the Operator to identify the user and the request: name, contact phone number or email, and the essence of the request.
14.3. After receiving withdrawal of consent, the Operator stops processing the user’s personal data and deletes such data unless further storage is required in accordance with Russian Federation legislation.

16. Changes to the Policy
16.1. The Operator has the right to amend this Policy.
16.2. A new version of the Policy comes into force from the moment it is published on sm-team.ru, unless otherwise provided by the new version of the Policy.
16.3. The user is advised to periodically check the current version of the Policy independently.
